Telumin Documentation
Technical documentation for the Telumin platform — how the threat engine works, how signals map to your holdings, and how to connect Claude via MCP.
What is Telumin?
Telumin is an early-warning system for your portfolio — a threat engine that watches your holdings continuously, matches evidenced signals to them with dollar exposure and explicit time horizons, and enforces the discipline of a written thesis with break-conditions.
Unlike a news feed that gives you noise, Telumin gives you a signal with evidence, matched to a position you actually hold. It never trades for you. Your broker never sees it.
Watching, not willpower
- Refresh the news app, hope you act in time
- Sold the winner on panic; held the loser on hope
- “I bought it because I had a feeling”
- That SEC filing was material and you missed it
- Threat engine scans continuously; alerts when your positions are touched
- Thesis drift sweep fires when the reason you bought starts to break
- Investment Diary holds your thesis with break-conditions on file
- Every signal ships with evidence: source, timestamp, excerpt
How a threat gets to you
Trigger fires
A typed trigger (8-K item code, margin threshold, drawdown %, keyword) matches incoming data and opens an investigation
Three roles debate
An Advocate argues the threat is real, a Skeptic attacks it, an Adjudicator rules — only material signals clear the bar
Ships with evidence
The signal ships to your dashboard with sources, timestamps, and excerpts — matched to your holdings in dollars

Key Concepts
Signals
Pipeline outputs: a (ticker, direction, confidence) tuple with quant context and an evidence chain. Drive watchlists, alerts, and thesis-guard workflows.
2-Source Rule
The SkepticValidator vetoes any signal that cannot be backed by 2+ independent source confirmations. Hard rule, no overrides.
Watchlist + Thesis
Every position you care about lives on a watchlist with a written thesis, Day-1 conditions, and a stop policy. The system enforces all three.
Backtest Lab
Run any signal strategy against historical data to validate a thesis before committing to it.
Evidence Vault
Immutable record of every signal, source citation, and alert. Exportable to your SIEM or compliance file.
Investment Diary
Required before the protect loop arms. Write your thesis, exit trigger, and position rationale — the engine watches them continuously.
Ready to start?
Open the Quickstart to add your holdings and activate the protect loop. Your broker never sees it.
